SwimNation Aquatics Request for Swimmer Evaluation
Thank you for your interest in SwimNation Aquatics Programs Competitive Swim Team! We offer a USA Swimming sanctioned competitive swim team for swimmers 5-years old and up. There's no limit to where you can go with SwimNation!
We request that all swimmers who wish to join our competitive program schedule an evaluation, so we can look at your swimmer's ability in order to place them in the correct competitive group. We obviously want swimmers with similar abilities to practice together. An evaluation can be as short as 10-15 minutes, or as log as an entire practice, depending on the swimmer and their previous competitive swimming experience.
SOME PREREQUISITS:
- Swimmers should be "familiar" with all four competitive strokes and be at least comfortable enough with two of them to be able to swim 25-yards unassisted.
- Swimmers should be confortable swimming in deep water (our entire pool is 7-feet deep.
- Be at least 5-years old
WHAT TO BRING:
- For girls, a one-piece swim suit; for boys, a jammers or brief-style swim suit, for evaluations board shorts are acceptable. We do not recommend rash guards or swim shirts.
- Swim goggles (optional)
- Swim cap (optional)
- A towel and sweats for after swimming
- We have complete locker room and warm shower facilities for getting ready and washing up after practices.
EVALUATION PROCESS:
We conduct evaluations on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, right before practice at 5:15pm at the Portola High School Aquatic Center, 1100 Merit, Irvine, CA.With this form, you can request an Evaluation Date, which will be confirmed via email from our team registrar. There is NO COST for an evaluation.
